We prioritize primary legislation and official materials for regulatory statements. Commercial implementation resources, when used, should be identified as such and should not be presented as law.
Scope of the current guides
The guides are educational explanations and planning resources. They do not claim to be exhaustive legal analyses or professionally reviewed compliance assessments.
Dates and updates
An updated date indicates an editorial revision. It is not a guarantee that all subsequent legislative changes have been incorporated. Check the linked primary materials before relying on a requirement or deadline.
Examples and tools
Fictional examples are labeled. The checker summarizes user-reported information-management practices using a transparent score. It does not verify evidence or determine legal obligations.
Corrections and commercial relationships
Material corrections should be incorporated into the relevant guide. Any future sponsorship or affiliate relationship should be disclosed near the affected content. No provider is ranked or endorsed in the initial software guide.
Checking method
Regulatory statements are checked provision by provision against the current consolidated legislation on EUR-Lex, with the article or annex named so a reader can verify the statement. Dates are labelled fixed where the Regulation sets them directly, and expected where they depend on a delegated act, an implementing act or a work programme that has not yet produced a fixed date. A guide states the position as checked on the date it names, and does not present a secondary summary as a primary source.
Corrections
When a substantive error is found, the guide is corrected and its updated date moves to the date of the correction. The correction is recorded in the guide where the change affects a stated requirement or date. Minor wording and presentation fixes do not change the substance of a guide. No correction is made silently to a legal claim: the corrected passage carries the current provision and the date it was checked.
What is never invented
No author names, reviewer credentials, contact addresses, fees, eligibility statements or figures are published unless they have been verified. Where a detail is not yet available, the relevant page says so plainly rather than filling the gap. Fictional examples are labelled, and illustrative values are marked as placeholders, never as measurements from a real battery.
